This calculator does not work with values less then one. Try putting in .5 it will come up with NaN. And why no UK cups? It is not the same as with US cups, that why there is UK teaspoons and tablespoons, Daaah. You should be using Metric anyways. As stated, a cup and spoon is not the same in any country, it is not an universal measurement. A gram and milliliter or cc is the same no matter where you are in the World, so in would be a lot easier to pass recipes from one culture to another.

MetricCook, I think you should quit whining and create (and share) a conversion calculator that includes every type of measurement from every culture on the planet. If everything should be metric, why are you complaining about the omission of UK cups and teaspoons and tablespoons? And since we are correcting one another, I think you mean less than; not less then. I think you mean anyway; not anyways. I think you mean a universal measurement; not an universal measurement. I think you mean that is why; not that why. I think you mean a cup and spoon are not the same; not a cup and spoon is not the same. I don't have time to explain punctuation and capitalization right now. I''ll try to come back later to help you with that.

This is a rudimentary calculator -- I encourage everyone to use our ingredient based conversion calculator that does include UK and US standard measurements.  http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/cooking-conversions/cooking-conversions-calculator.aspx Oh, and cstricklen... Love your post! :-)
