Support Michgan's local food products.
We always like to do what we can to help promote all-things made in the U.S. Today we learned about a new web site Great Lakes Goods that specializes in foods produced right in the Great Lakes area of the U.S. The site offers various condiments, mustards, hot sauce, preserves and even local syrups and chocolate and seasonings. Please visit and support this regional U.S. site.
Another bit of news from the region - local legislators passed a "cottage food" bill that would allow locals to produce small-scale foods in the home-kitchens for sale at farmer's markets, fairs, festivals and flea markets. The license would permit such foods as homemade baked goods, jams, jellies, candy, vinegar and dried fruit, herbs and mixes. Read more >>
