I took a good walk first thing in the morning. While I was out I stopped at the local Fresh Mex place and shared a breakfast burrito. It had the usual filling, eggs, cheese, potatoes, and few little bits of meat. Half of one of these is more than enough. Sorry, no pic!
I started a big yard project today. We just planted 3 trees and there was a huge pile of dirt that had to be moved. With few options to get rid of this pile which was really rocks and rock-hard chunks of dense clay soil. We decided to bag it using the bags from the soil amendments we used to plant the trees. Shovel by shovel we bagged the stuff and loaded some of it into the truck of the car and some into the truck.
We finally stopped around 1:00 and had a stick of light string cheese and a bucket of ice water. Once the pile was gone (YEAH!!) my next project was to wash down the patio umbrella, patio table and patio chairs. By now I'm sun burnt, hot, tired and really dirty. When I was done I treated myself to a nice hot shower.
Lunch was my snack or my snack was lunch?
I bought some fresh corn on the cob while at the farmer's market this morning. I heated a Nutrisystem Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast and served it with that nice ear of corn. I added a little butter to the corn. I couldn't quite finish it but it was very good!
I had 4 Hershey's Dark chocolate and almond nuggets.
I did 1.5x my step goal today! My patio now looks nice with the trees planted and table, chairs and umbrella freshened up. It's always rewarding to work hard and to be able to see what I accomplished. Gym day tomorrow, hope I'm not too sore. I'll check back in then.
