Seemingly every small burg in the West has a festival of some sort.  He is a list of a few notable ones.  If you are making at trip West make a point to take in some of the great fun and food.

As if you need an excuse to go to beautiful Santa Barbara California. Held on Basille Day weekend this is a great local festival with food and entertainment (over 40 live stage acts) as well as games for the kiddies. If you have any room for food after, make sure to take run down to the beach at eat some seafood at Brophies, one of the best little places in Santa Barbara; real well know by the locals.

Come to the festival to see for yourself.   Ingredients include 750 lbs. of stone ground corn to make the Masa tortillas, 175 gallons of vegetable oil, heated to cook the tortillas, 75 gallons of red chili sauce, 175 lbs. of grated cheese and 50 lbs. chopped onions
