Jackie's Chocolate Blender Pots de Creme

I had the pleasure of meeting Jackie on the telephone and she offered to share this wonderful quick version of this elegant dessert. I think her quote says it all "I am actually reticent to send this recipe as it is so simple, but, I promise, very good!" Thank you Jackie! Jackie is from Brentwood, Tennessee.

Ingredients

1 cup chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups scalded half and half
2 egg yolks*
3 T brandy, Grand Marnier, or Jack Daniels

Instructions

Mix all ingredients well in blender. Place in cups; chill several hours or overnight.

*Note: There is always some risk involved with recipes that use uncooked eggs. In this recipe the yolks are heated by the scalded milk. You should however exercise caution if you are serving small children, elderly persons, pregnant women, or anyone with a compromised immune system.
