8 ounces butter, melted
1 teaspoon chipotle paste or more to taste**
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon -- pref. freshly -- ground
1/4 teaspoon salt
fresh lime juice -- to taste
**You can substitute 1 teaspoon chipotle in adobo (blended to a thick paste) or see recipe link below for how to make chile pastes.
Whisk the Chipotle Paste, cinnamon, and salt into the liquid butter. Add lime juice, starting with 1/2 teaspoon, adding more to taste. For a spicier butter, add more Chipotle Paste. The vegetables will really soak up the heat of the butter, so it should be fairly hot but not overpowering.
