Chongos Zamoranos

Ingredients

8 cups of milk
1 cup of sugar
1 pastilla para cuajar (corn starch may be substituted)
4 cinnamon sticks
juice from 2 limes

Instructions

Heat the milk on a low flame so that the milk doesn't boil and add the pastilla para cuajar dissolved in a little milk then mix.

Cook for a half hour and add the lime juice.

When the milk is well thickened, stand the cinnamon sticks in its surface and sprinkle with sugar without moving.
Continue cooking for approximately 2 hours.

Do not remove from heat until the mixture is firm. (However, the milk should never boil).
