1 pound Maryland crab meat
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 large egg
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Margarine, butter or oil for frying
Pick through crab meat carefully to remove any bits cartridge or shell. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except butter and mix well to incorporate.
Form into patties and set aside. Heat butter in a heavy frying pan. Add patties a few at a time and cook until lightly browned and heated through turning once to brown both sides.
