Wagyu beef

Other names: kobe beef

Wagyu is an ancient breed of cattle from the Kobe region of Japan. The beef is well-marbled for a buttery tender steaks.  Wagyu beef are raised in the U.S. now as well as Japan.  As of Jan, 2009 a 2lb trip tip steak at Lobels (online) is $42.00 and a 4lb boneless roast will set you back $629.00.

Both Kobe and Wagyu beef are from the same Wagyu breed however only Wagyu beef raised in Kobe can be sold as Kobe Beef.

UCSF Researchers say products with added sugar should be controlled just like alcohol or tobacco. They are  advocating that the government take control of the situation because the citizens are unable to do so. The solutions they suggest include doubling the price of sodas via a sugar tax, put age restrictions on purchase of products containing added sugar and legislate which stores are allowed to sell products with added sugar.
