Other names: ghost chile, bhut Jolokia, Bih Jolokia, Naga Jolokia, Naga Morich, Raja Mirchi
Although still not documented the Indian Naga jolokia or "ghost chile" is reputed to be 855,000 Scoville Heat Units which is about off the charts, heat-wise. The chile was first reported about in September 2000 but tests documenting actual heat seem to be conflicting. The fact is they are related to the habanero and are extremely hot. We are starting to see the dried chiles available in stores but still hard to find.
