Mole paste

Mole paste is a mixture of rehydrated dried chiles, nuts, bread, garlic, and fruit such as raisins. The paste is the base ingredients for making mole sauce. To use the paste is lightly fried in a pan, mixed with broth then simmered and served over turkey, chicken or pork. You can buy commerically prepared pastes or make your own. The paste will store indefinately refrigerated in a sealed jar.
