Jamaican jerk

Other names: jerk spice, jerk seasoning

A pungent Jamaican spice mixture of allspice berries, onion, scallions, Scotch bonnet chiles, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and garlic. The mixture is used as a rub to season chicken or pork.
