Graham crackers


Graham crackers are sweetened crackers made with graham (whole wheat) flour as well as other ingredients including sugar and flavorings.   In addition to being eaten as a snack Graham crackers can be crushed and used as base for a popular pie crust (graham cracker crust).

Substitute for graham crackers

Any wheat cracker OR Saltine crackers (not sweet).

Equivalents

12 to 14 squares   =   1 cup crumbs
16oz box = 33 crackers (2 1/2" x 5" each)
1 1/2 cups finely crushed =27 cookies

Nabisco Brand: Enriched wheat flour, sugar, graham flour (whole grain wheat flour) soybean oil and/or partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil, high fructose corn syrup, honey, leavening (baking soda and/or calcium phosphate), salt, artificial flavor, soy lecithin - an emulsifier, cornstarch.
