French fried onions

French's is the producer of canned "french fried onion rings" They date back to 1933 but became a household food in the 1950's when a marketing campaign suggested that the onion rings be a topper for a green bean casserole. Available at most grocery stores.

French Fried onion rings are sold in restaurants and some fast food establishments. These are typically batter-dipped and deep fried.
