Dried lemon peel

Dried lemon peel is made from just the "zest" portion of the lemon which is removed and dried. It is commercially avaialable in handy "grinder" containers (Zesto).

Substitute for dried lemon peel

1/2 teaspoon lemon extract can be substituted for 1 teaspoon dried lemon peel.


1 tsp   =   grated peel of 1 medium lemon
