Berros

Other names: berro
Spanish name: Berro

Berro is the Spanish word for watercress.  The variety pictured is what we commonly find in Mexican produce markets.  The leaves are small and rounded and have a strong peppery flavor, in fact much stronger than the commercial hydroponically-grown variety.  Use in salads.
