Brandy


An aged liquor made from distilled wine. Cognac is type of brandy. In addition to being a drink Brandy is used for cooking for desserts, deglazing pans and a flavoring in sauces.

Substitute for brandy

Raspberry extract, brandy extract - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon brandy extract OR 2 tablespoons water, white grape juice or apple juice
