Avocado Ice Cream

Avocado Ice Cream

A unique flavor of ice cream made from ripe avocados.  One of the earliest recipes we've found dates back to Calvo Growers of California, 1932.  That recipe used sugar, water, milk, cream, ripe avocados and an egg white.  There are many variations of this.  The U.S. is not the only market for avocado ice cream.  This unique frozen dessert is made in many Asian countries.  To make your own see recipes.
