Agave syrup

A natural syrup extracted from the Agave plant. Agave syrup has become a thriving industry for Mexico. The liquid has a lower glycemic index than sugar or other syrups so it is preferred for carbohydrate reduced eating plans. The syrup also referred to as nectar can be used for making beverages (see recipes) or in any way you'd use maple syrup.
