Abbada dates

Other names: black date, other spellings: abaddah, abada

A beautiful date that melts in your mouth; much like the Barhi.   The date is long and slender, slightly longer than a medjool and black in color.  The flavor is sweet and very creamy.   This date is less common in the U.S. but look for them in your local health food stores.
