Zyliss Chopper

Product Description
The Zyliss chopper is a product of Switzerland. A close look at the product and the packaging did not reveal if it was truly manufactured in Switzerland. It certainly appears to have been engineered there.

The product is designed for chopping small portions.  We tested the product by chopping both nuts, parsley, and fresh thyme--the types of products suitable for this chopper.

• The product disassembles nicely which made for easy cleaning
• The housing is see-through plastic.The product comes in a variety of colors, blue, purple, green (shown), or clear.
• The blade is rust-proof,  65mm and rotates automatically to ensure uniform chopping.

This is an inexpensive product that retails for approximately $13.00 to $15.00 U.S.

General Notes

• Overfilling the bin gives a very ununiform result. 
• Anything with a high moisture content tended to mash, not chop.
• Toasted nuts (not show) chop to a more uniform size.

We wanted to love this chopper a lot more than we did. The colors are really cool.   The design is superior for use and cleaning. If all you need it for is to chop nuts, it is a reasonable choice.  If your main use is for herbs, we have to recommend a knife.
