New York City Soda Ban

On May 30, 2012 NYC Mayor Bloomberg proposed a ban on soft drinks that exceed 16oz and 8 calories per ounce. The ban would include soft drinks and ice tea containing sugar.  The purpose of the ban is to help ward off the rise numbers of obese children and adults.  The ban would be enforced in Delis, food carts, any eatery including arenas and stadiums.
