Kitchen Cooking Scale
For everyday cooking measuring using cups and tablespoons is sufficiently accurate. When it comes to the more scientific art of baking then the measuring becomes much more critical.
The most accurate way to measure is in grams but here in the U.S. most of our recipes are only provided in cups and tablespoons. We now have a scale that can accurately measure either in grams OR in cups and tablespoons based on the gram weight of the food. The scale does all the conversions for you! It even displays in fractions or decimals, whichever works best for you.
How To Weigh (Grams, Ounces, Pounds)
This amazing scale is extremely simple to use.
- Press the On/Tare/Off key - This turns on the scale and sets it to zero
- Press the g/oz button to set the unit of measurement - you can select grams, pounds+ ounces, or ounces only.
- Place the item on the platform and view the weight.
- Press the On/Tare/Off key - This turns on the scale and sets it to zero
- Press the VOL (volume) key - this sets the scale to show the results in cups or tablespoons
- Enter Volume Code - Look your food up on your alphabetic foods list and press the keys for the 2 digit code.
- Place the item on the platform** and view the volume in cups (1/8, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and in 1/2 tablespoon increments).
- Clear Code - press the clear button to clear and enter a new ingredient code.
**If the ingredient you are weighing needs to be placed in a container (like sugar, flour, liquids, etc) place the container on the scale first, then press On/Tare/Off and then only the ingredients you put in the container will be weighed but not the container itself.
