Gilroy is located about 90 miles south of San Francisco. It is know as the garlic capital of the world. The festival features every conceivable product made with garlic including garlic wine and garlic ice cream. Humm...

Did you know that world's largest enchilada weighs 750 pounds? Come to the festival to see for yourself.   Ingredients include 750 lbs. of stone ground corn to make the Masa tortillas, 175 gallons of vegetable oil, heated to cook the tortillas, 75 gallons of red chili sauce, 175 lbs. of grated cheese and 50 lbs. chopped onions

Get your shucking arm ready.   The OysterFest hosts the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships. Also features the local microbreweries, wine tasting, and other seafood tastings as well.
